Your .htaccess was fine. The cause of the broken images was a bug in my code. Image links were built as /uploads/uploads/2026/10/…, with uploads twice, so they always returned 404

My earlier tests only checked that the link ended in .jpg. I’ve now added tests that actually fetch the image and its thumbnail, and all 85 checks pass.
